Before

The Before rule checks that a date field falls chronologically earlier than a given comparison date — the natural counterpart to the After rule. It's useful for enforcing deadlines, such as requiring an early-bird registration date to be before the event's start date, a document to be signed before a contract's expiration date, or a birthdate to fall before a certain cutoff year for eligibility. Dates are parsed using the DD-MM-YYYY format by default (e.g. 12-01-1991 means 12 January 1991), so the field's value and the comparison date should both follow that same format.
