DebitCard

The Debit Card rule checks that a field contains a properly formatted, plausible card number, using the same length-and-Luhn-checksum approach as the Credit Card rule. Debit and credit cards share the same numbering scheme across networks, so the number's format alone can't reliably tell you which account type it belongs to — this rule exists as its own named check so a form's debit-card field gets clear, purpose-labeled validation and error messaging, distinct from a separate credit-card field on the same page.
