IP

The IP rule accepts a valid IP address in either format — IPv4 (like 192.168.1.1) or IPv6 (like 2001:0db8:85a3::8a2e:0370:7334) — making it the go-to check for a field like a server address, an allow-listed client IP, or a network configuration setting where you don't want to force one address family over the other. If you need to restrict the field to only one version, the dedicated IPv4 or IPv6 rules give you that narrower check instead.
